Today we’d like to introduce you to K.C. Hopes and Crystal Wilson. 

K.C. and Crystal, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?

The book “How to Stay Healthy and Wealthy Under the Faith of Jesus Christ” is the creation of author K.C. Hopes, a God-focused entrepreneur who wrote this book together with his daughter, Crystal Wilson and was published in January 2019. Now, retired after owning a successful cleaning company, this Christ-focused individual wants to teach everyone the financial tools and healthy practices in order to feel secure in Christ. It is an informative and comprehensive discussion on learning the way to prepare for one’s own future and to accomplish goals but still keeping a physically and spiritually healthy lifestyle through God’s guidance.

It was a dream come true to put the things taught by his mother Anna Lee Hopes when he was younger into a book for others to benefit from. The book “Healthy and Wealthy” started from a concept called a “Prayer-Map” which was created by Anna Lee Hopes, Ms. Hopes created a personal “Prayer-Map” for K.C. long ago during her prayer time which then inspired him to create a closer relationship with God. Through his “Prayer-Map”, he was able to communicate to God his desires for his life and family. In this book, we will teach you how to create your own “Prayer-Map” to help you prioritize your life and help you align your goals to what God wants for you.

“How to Stay Healthy Wealthy Under the Faith of Jesus Christ” is also a great guide to those who are eager to live their life without regret. This will help those young adults who are planning to move out and older individuals who aim to grow financially for their own goals and their family by seeing to it that they decide to put God in all of their plans. It is our hope not only to inform people how to develop a relationship with God but also to spread the word of God so that people can become Christians.

Has it been a smooth road?
The main objective we are trying to accomplish is getting our “names” out there so that people can understand and know about our book. We are constantly trying to network not only with other churches but facilities where this book can help people overcome struggles. The book publishing process was a bit tedious because we have the book both in English and in Spanish but we were able to overcome these challenges through patience and prayer.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the How to Stay Healthy and Wealthy Under the Faith of Jesus Christ story. Tell us more about it.
Our sole purpose is to help people live a better life and develop a relationship with God. We want to encourage people to develop goals and help them incorporate God into those “goal-setting” moments. What we are most proud of as a company, is the opportunity to meet and discuss with people about developing a relationship with God. The book, “How to Stay Healthy and Wealthy Under the Faith of Jesus Christ” is a handbook that features concepts to better one’s life physically and spiritually. We want to encourage people to have more self-confidence when it comes to living and one way to do that is to stay focused on the goal at hand through prayer.

We recently had a presentation and a book signing at “Santa Maria’s – Bonita House” which is a facility where women with children are going through different types of recovery to better themselves and their children’s lives. We spoke to them about the promises that Lord had for them and how he wants us to live. Later that week, one of the Counselors at the facility, Cynthia Turner, lead a workshop with the women into creating their own personal “Prayer Map”. The women sat and talked about their goals for their lives and even did personal interviews explaining what areas they wanted God to bless them in. It was AMAZING to see the impact of “How to Stay Healthy and Wealthy Under the Faith of Jesus Christ” had upon these women! We want to see more of this type of motivation to better their lives for everyone!

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see lots of positive experiences for this book not only throughout the city of Houston but all over the country, even globally. We want to reach the lost (those seeking Christ) to those who want to improve their quality of life. It would be wonderful to see a younger generation, those who are graduating high school or college, draw closer in their walk with Christ so that they can pray and reach their goals in life and be successful.
